Seattle Int'l Fashion Week, devoted to providing an innovative platform for designers and retailers to showcase their abilities to the media, trade, and consumers, is a four-day event beginning Wednesday, September 26th.
The focus of Seattle Fashion Week '07 is to bring fashion to the forefront of this city's culture. Our ultimate goal is to create an annual fashion event that is well-recognized. With your participation, this goal will become a reality. With its rich historical background, heavy influence on modern music, art, and culture, this beautiful and progressive city deserves a fashion week to call its own.
Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday will see events at a variety of venues, culminating with our presentation of Seattle Fashion Week '07: Showcase Finale- Ventures into Style and Design at the world-renowned Experience Music Project. This vibrant venue features a 70'x40' LED screen as a backdrop, an additional 13'x20' drop-down screen to support visuals, as well as a sleek runway to present our high-end designers' styles. We expect over 400 attendees, all of whom are influential members of the media, city government, retail, and local fashion community.
We are pleased to announce that a significant portion of the event's proceeds will benefit Making Strides Against Breast Cancer, an organization that educates women about breast cancer prevention and early detection, honors breast cancer survivors, and raises funds and awareness. |
